Privacy Policy
Last updated September 30, 2026
Braid helps companies see and manage what they spend on AI providers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@getbraid.app.
What we collect
- What you give us. Your work email when you ask for a pilot, and anything else you choose to send us, such as your name, your company and your messages.
- Usage and cost data from your AI providers. When you connect a provider with an admin key, Braid reads usage and cost only: which keys, projects and models were used, how many requests and tokens, and what they cost. Braid never reads your prompts, responses or any other content of your requests.
- How you set Braid up. The Implementations you create, their owners, your budgets and the people you invite.
- Technical information. Basic logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, that we need to run and protect the service.
How we use it
- To provide Braid: sorting your spend, sending reports and alerts, and tracking budgets.
- To reply to you and set up your pilot.
- To keep the service secure, reliable and working as it should.
- To tell you about changes to Braid or to your account.
We don't sell your information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use your data to train AI models.
Provider keys
We store the admin keys you connect encrypted, and use them only to read usage and cost. Braid never creates keys, changes limits or switches models. You can revoke a key from your provider's console at any time, and Braid stops reading from it straight away.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Braid, and only as much as they need to do that work. They include hosting, our database (Supabase) and email delivery (Resend). We may also share information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
Cookies and local storage
Braid uses only the cookies and browser storage the site needs to work, such as remembering that you've seen the introduction. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you use Braid, or as long as we need it for the purposes above. When it's no longer needed, or when you ask, we delete it or make it anonymous, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, and we limit who can access it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe, and we'll tell you promptly if something goes wrong.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@getbraid.app. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, and we'll honour them.
Where it's processed
Braid is run from the United States, and your information may be processed there or in other countries where our service providers operate, with safeguards in place where the law requires them.
Children
Braid is a service for businesses, and it isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
