Terms of Service
Last updated September 30, 2026
These terms cover your use of Braid, the website and the service. By using Braid, you agree to them. If you use Braid on behalf of a company, you confirm you're allowed to agree to them for that company.
What Braid does
Braid connects to your AI providers with read-only access, sorts your usage and cost by what it's for, and sends reports and alerts. Braid is read-only: it never changes your provider accounts and it can't stop spend. It tells the right people what changed so they can act.
Pilots and fees
Founding pilots are $250 for 30 days, set up with the founder. No payment is due until we've talked and agreed on the pilot. Before a pilot ends, we'll agree on a monthly plan together, and you're free to walk away instead. Any other fees are agreed in writing before they apply.
Your account and keys
- Keep your login details secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used them.
- Connect only keys and accounts you're allowed to connect.
- You can revoke Braid's access from your provider's console at any time.
Your data
Your data stays yours. You let us process it only to provide and improve Braid for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Using Braid fairly
Please don't:
- use Braid for anything unlawful, or to harm anyone;
- try to break into, overload or disrupt the service;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer Braid; or
- share access with people outside your company without our agreement.
How the numbers work
Braid's figures come from your providers' data, which can arrive late or change after the fact. Totals match what each provider reports; where a provider doesn't split cost by model or key, Braid estimates the split and marks it as estimated. Braid is a tool for understanding spend, not financial or accounting advice.
Changes to the service
Braid is new and still growing, so features will change. We'll tell you ahead of any change that takes away something you rely on.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Braid accurate and available, but it's provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We can't promise that every change in spend will be caught, or caught in time.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Braid isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it arose.
Ending your use
You can stop using Braid at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. When you leave, you can ask us to delete your data, and we'll do so, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use Braid after that means you accept it.
